For this question, download the following data: SpotifyA_2023.dta Download SpotifyA_2023.dta. You will need to use Stata to answer the following questions. Read each sub-question carefully for rounding instructions.
You have access to my actual Spotify streaming dataset for the past year, where I went down a very deep rabbit hole of K-pop and K-R&B. Analyze my streaming data (and possibly judge me). You will need Stata to complete this portion of the assignment.

A. How many observations are in this data set?
B. How many songs had a popularity rating higher than 80?
C. How many songs in this sample are from BLACKPINK? Remember, since artists are strings, put the text you want in Quotes. For example, to filter by artists BTS, you’d use “BTS” rather than BTS.
D. How about for Red Velvet? Hint: This is case sensitive and space sensitive, so be sure to use Red Velvet exactly as is. _______
We want to know how musical “energy” for specific artists (in sample). So, let’s examine the above two groups, BLACKPINK and Red Velvet.
E. Who has more energetic songs? Red Velvet or BLACKPINK? Select your answer by typing the LETTER associated with the option. For example, if you choose option C, only type in “C”. _________
Red Velvet
BLACKPINK
F. What is the difference in energy between the two groups on average? Round to 2 decimal places, ie: 41.567 = 41.57. _________
Now, we want to know some summary statistics of another competing group, TWICE.
G. What is the average popularity of TWICE songs in our sample? Remember, Stata is case sensitive, so be sure to use TWICE rather than Twice. Round to to the nearest whole number. ie, 2.56 =3. _________
H. What is the median popularity value of TWICE songs? Round to to the nearest whole number. ie, 2.56 =3. __________
I. What is the standard deviation of the popularity of TWICE songs? Round to to the nearest whole number. ie, 2.56 =3. __________
Now, let’s compare with a solo artist. Specifically, we’re going to look at IU.
J. What is the average popularity for IU? Again, case sensitive, so be sure to use IU as your string text. Round to to the nearest whole number. ie, 2.56 =3._________
You want to see if there is a relationship between popularity and danceability.
K. Calculate the correlation between these two variables. Round to 2 decimal places, ie: 41.567 = 41.57. __________
L. In sample, which song did I listen to the most? ie: what song was played the most in sample? Select your answer by typing the LETTER associated with the option. For example, if you choose option C, only type in “C”. ___________
I CAN’T STOP ME
SOLO
MONEY
HIP
YEAH YEAH YEAH
BAD BOY
28 Reasons
LILAC
